You know how it is, someone buys home some Sri Lankan crab curry from Yarl's curry house, Brickfields. We smear the curry all over our faces trying to get past the crab shell to the crab meat. We need two hands to do this properly - or not properly: as I can see there is actually still meat in chewed up crab legs that cant be separated anymore, in the 'shell bowl'. And our water/beer glass handles are also smeared with curry from our fingers - do we care? If beer is the drink we are probably drunk, the curry is so hot. Anyway, at the end of the 'feast' - one doesn't really get full on crab alone - there is all that delicious gravy and no more puttu to eat it with, and we cannot throw it away. Oooh! just thinking of this crab meal.
So I volunteered to take some home and I tried this with some leftover crab curry gravy.
1. Made some spaghetti (or linguine is better)
2. Heated the leftovers
3. Mixed the two together
4. While hot grated some cheddar on it.
5. Sprinkle a generous handful of coriander leaves.
Wolf it all down as you do with pasta.
Simply the best
